The artwork was designed by Dennis Sibeijn, who has previously worked with such bands as DRACONIAN, CHIMAIRA and ABORTED.

Commented vocalist Ramzi Essayed: "During the mixing stage, we were working in parallel together with Dennis on the artwork idea and layout. It's ready now with the magnificent work of Dennis. He truly reflected the album spirit and concepts. A special thanks to him from BILOCATE for his efforts and support."


"Sudden Death Syndrome" was mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studio in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, AMON AMARTH, SYMPHONY X, PARADISE LOST)

Regardless of weather it was the intention to let it lay idle, or unleash it in years to come, now has been deemed the most appropriate time to dispel its noxious fumes.

Remaining suspended and somewhat forgotten years beforehand, Obsidian Records were pointed in the RookWood direction via their MySpace by Arzarkhel of Astriaal infamy, where three tracks lay comatosed and collecting dust. These tracks are now recognized upon their recently released and very limited pressing of White Knuckle Terror demo. Obsidian Records interest provided the catalyst of motivation to stretch deep within the Murky depths of RookWood’s conspirator, Bakoul’s, vault and unscrew the lid of the canister in 2007. Exercised - Like a black hooded infantry mounted on rampant beasts, engaging in war, thirsting pillaging amongst the sheep with the cries of Black Destroyer now echoing amongst a fiery abyss of scattered, torn and disillusioned pilgrims.

RookWood was initially conceived in 1997 by Bakoul as a solo project. Three tracks were written from 1997-2000. From that point, their were no agenda’s marked out to release the three track demo, White Knuckle Terror, nor were any plans conspired to play live, or write new material. It was literally forgotten about. When it is said the initial tracks were vacuum sealed, it is literally no word of a lie, as they still sound as fresh today. The further five tracks written in the last two yeas only add to the darker shadings around this already contorted sketch.

The Organs of Liberation begin to breathe new life into RookWood, April 2008 and RookWood picks up from where it left off. This time around thou a live unit has been mustered; where it’s first Live ritual shall be executed at Obsidian Records annual ANZAC DAY Festival, Apr 25th, Rosies Live, Brisbane. This will serve not only as their first live show, but also as their album launch show for You Worship Shit. Eight tracks of baneful, caustic, fast paced black/thrash’n’roll, rarely seen administered amongst these baron Austral lands. Amplified strings which pierce skin like the explosion of a glass bomb, injecting deep seated, irrevocable splinters at a furious pace for the full 33 minutes. Shrieking harsh vocals, vomiting the force feed bullshit we are directed to consume, launching a scathing attack on mainly Western Society’s infrastructure and the disgusting inhabitants that have the overwhelming tendency to be mislead by what only they are told, not what is their to be found. Battle skins are torched with a combination of old and newer elements of Blackened Metal. Frenetic blasting accompanied by apocalyptic cymbal crashes signifying the manner of RookWood's mission of detest upon every stroke.

Its 33 minutes have passed. So what do you choose? To be a worthless subject of habitual obedience or do you unite with those of free mind constructing the demise of something that can be Overthrone. Either way, You Worship Shit!

Janie PorterLand 'O Lakes, Florida -- The stories in the news about inappropriate relationships between teachers and students have been overwhelming. There was even a substitute teacher in New Port Richey who got in trouble after investigators say she had a relationship with an underage student.

Well, another Pasco County substitute teacher's job is on the line, but this time it's because of a magic trick.

The charge from the school district — Wizardry!

Substitute teacher Jim Piculas does a 30-second magic trick where a toothpick disappears then reappears.

But after performing it in front of a classroom at Rushe Middle School in Land 'O Lakes, Piculas said his job did a disappearing act of its own.

"I get a call the middle of the day from the supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue. You can't take any more assignments. You need to come in right away,'" he said.

When Piculas went in, he learned his little magic trick cast a spell that went much farther than he'd hoped.

"I said, 'Well Pat, can you explain this to me?' 'You've been accused of wizardry,' [he said]. Wizardry?" he asked.

Tampa Bay's 10 talked to the assistant superintendent with the Pasco County School District who said it wasn't just the wizardry and that Picular had other performance issues, including "not following lesson plans" and allowing students to play on unapproved computers.

Piculas said he knew nothing about the accusations.

"That... I think was embellished after the fact to try to cover what initially what they were saying to me," he said.

After the magic trick, Rushe's principal requested Piculas be dismissed. Now, Piculas believes the incident may have bewitched his ability to get a job anywhere else.

"I still have no idea what my discipline involves because I've never received anything from the school district actually saying what it entails," said Piculas.

As a substitute teacher, the Pasco County School District considers Piculas to be an "at will employee." That means the district doesn't need to have cause for not bringing him back at all.
